Hi, I’m Hunter.

You may recognize me from the cover of novadog magazine:

For all you bored dogs at home, I thought I’d demonstrate a few of my favorite interactive toys. I am 9 years old after all, and I’ve accumulated quite a collection. Of course, it helps that my mom is the owner of Fur-Get Me Not and she carries all these toys in her store.
First, we’ll start off with a great chew toy, the Bouncy Bone. I like this one because of the “gnawhide rings” that are attached on the sides. When I’m done, mom replaces them and it’s like a new chew all over again.

This one is fun because it makes a crunchy noise. It’s called a Bottle Buddy and it has an empty water bottle inside. Sometimes I need a break from the squeaky toys and this adds just the right variety!

This turtle is one of my favorites. It’s an Egg Baby and I have several of them at home in many styles including the hedgehog and the alligator. What I love about this toy is the game of pulling out what’s inside – 3 squeaky eggs. I respect the turtle and keep him in one piece because the only thing on my mind is getting to the eggs inside. Once I pull them out, mom stuffs them back in and the game begins all over again. I’ve had this particular egg baby for over 3 years, so it’s safe to say it’s the most respected plush toy in my home.

And now I’ll demonstrate some of the toys that incorporate treats. This is called a Buster Cube, another oldie but goodie in my house. I’ve had this since I was a puppy. Mom fills it with a cup of kibble and I have a grand time rolling it around to get the kibble out. This is a great way to work out while I eat my breakfast and dinner.

This one is a bit more advanced. Rolling it doesn’t work. Picking it up doesn’t work. I know there is a way to get the treats out and I think it has something to do with the rope – but I’m still working on it. I haven’t quite mastered this one but if anyone figures it out before I do, please post it in the comments!
