Holiday Cards & Grapes
I have some very creative customers when it comes to holiday cards. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next – and every year it has to be something unique. We just finished a session with Henry, an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and his people, for their holiday card this year. I’m not sure if I’m going to show this years yet, so let me show you last years.
His owners are wine aficionados and it was clear the card would have a wine-related theme. So, we decided to tell a story with pictures – this was a six-sided tri-fold card.

Even though they said I could, I can’t bring myself to show this years card – it’s gonna be great and I don’t want to spoil the surprise! So, here’s a sneak peek:

Holiday Cards & a few new/old images
We’ve been busy working on holiday card designs and getting ready for all the fun and creative cards for this season. Here is a sneak peak of a card featuring Treasure and his little human, Camryn. These were taken at the beginning of the year when we had a few really nice snow falls. (If you are ever interested in snow pictures, you can get join our “on call” list for a snow day.)

A lot of this session was never added to the blog. When I saw them again and we made selections for the holiday card, I thought they were too cute to pass up. This one is Treasure watching Camryn make a snow ball.

Treasure was less than a year old and still very puppy-like. He couldn’t resist the opportunity to steal Camryn’s glove.

This is Treasure’s owner and Camryn’s mom.

I think this last image really captures what’s it’s like to have both kids and dogs. It makes me smile every time!

Sweet Kodi
Kodi was adopted from a DC Shelter and now lives in a wonderful and loving home. She is one of the sweetest dogs we’ve photographed and definitely has the most bandana’s. Her owners were great fun to work with and the house was decorated with lots of color and fun designs to use as backgrounds. The goal of the session was to capture Kodi’s sweet personality, and to create a family photo as well as a variety of images with Kodi and her owners. We worked both indoors and outdoors. Below are a few favorites from the session.

Here is how some of the images will be displayed:
Here is Kodi’s family. I’d say she got pretty lucky to find such great owners.
OK, this next one is Kodi putting up with our desire to use this silly toy. Thanks for your patience, Kodi.

When I saw their feet together like this, I had to take the image. Here it is with a slight image-effect applied to it.
And finally, we chose Kodi as the subject for our Washingtonian ad for July – here is the ad:
