Meet Wally, Theodore and Eddie.

Here is their story – as told by their human:
“My cats were informally rescued by strangers and dropped off at vets for adoption/care. The two littermates, Wally and Theodore were found 16 years ago and rescued by the nice folks at Hayfield Animal Hospital in Alexandria. Five-year old Eddie was found by my sister, Cathy in Atlanta by her vet. It’s funny . . . Eddie flew here (in first class) on Delta with my nieces and sister when he was a kitten. He was a Valentine’s Day gift from my sister.”

I’ve had a run of portrait sessions with black dogs and their families so I wanted to feature a few of the gorgeous dogs.
Here’s Samantha. She’s best friends with her three year old human.

Here’s Benny. Benny is super sweet and very intelligent.

And here’s Sally. The song “Hotel California” comes to mind when I think of Sally. She loves it when you come in – but doesn’t want you to ever leave.

Finally, here is Kyra. Granted, she has more brown markings than the others but she is mostly black. She has two little humans that she takes care of and has a foundation in her name to help animals in need.

So, it seems like it has snowed in all of the usual places this year except here (Northern Virginia). Probably no dog wants it to snow more than Bailey – he loves hanging outside in the cold weather.
This first image was printed as a gorgeous canvas wall portrait.

One of the challenges with our sessions is what to do with all of the images. Often, the solution is multiple images together in a frame. Here are some of the frame groupings that were chosen to display the favorite images:

And, while this session was mainly for Bailey, we couldn’t pass up photographing Callie – Bailey’s cat buddy.
