Hokie & Monday – Beautiful Rescues – Part 1
I love black dogs. They have such a rich color, and their brown eyes always seem to sparkle. Hokie and Monday are both beautiful black rescue dogs who found a wonderful home that they share with another black dog named Kodi, and two incredible people. Their owners are very active with helping rescue dogs and have fostered well over 100 dogs.
Hokie is 2 years old and was found at six weeks old on a median strip in West Virginia. She was very ill and had a poor prognosis. After lots of special care, she’s recovered fully, LOVES to play with balls and is thriving in her new home!
Monday was rescued by Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. She was found with her litter of seven in South Carolina at 7 weeks old and was the 128th foster dog of her now adoptive parents. They adored her so much they had to add her to their family. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle and hang out with her pack.
Just Fur Fun Friday – Front/Back
Not sure why this makes me smile. Maybe it’s because we were trying to get a picture of the two of them together and Monday just wanted to face the other direction and Hokie loves having the ball in her mouth. It’s just them being them.
There are lots of great pictures of them (and their other sister, Kodi) that we’ll share in the next post.
Hokie, Coco, Abby, Kiely & Lauren – at The Olde Towne Pet Resort
But wait, there are more dogs to show from our event at The Olde Towne Pet Resort – and talk about LIVING COLOR!
Meet Hokie!

Here’s Coco Chanel:

This is Abby, an adorable Cairn Terrier. The images below had me thinking about The Wizard of Oz.

And this next set had me humming the tune to Green Acres. Abby was found in a barn – but she sure looked like she was made for silk.

This image is Kiely (a gorgeous Irish Setter) and her human, Lauren (stunningly adorable). They have an exact match on hair color – it’s amazing!
