Longhorns in the Snow – Part 2

Here are a few more images from my outing with the incredible longhorns.  This is the big daddy of the group:

I was surprised to see a blue-eyed cow:

They are very social animals and seem to enjoy each other.  Here are two young cows that stuck pretty close together:

They are also very careful with their horns – they have a great sense of where they are at all times.

Longhorns

Who knew there were longhorns in Virginia?  A friend of mine did – she is an incredible painter who specializes in painting longhorns.  You have to see her work to believe it – go to http://www.dejavuimpressions.com/.  (BTW, she also does commissions for other animals as well.)

We went to a longhorn ranch together one foggy morning.  Here is what it looked like:
