Archie & Annie Jo – Amazing Standard Poodles

Archie and Annie Jo are two amazing dogs who belong to Marcie Engel, veterinarian and owner of the Brookeville Animal Hospital in Brookeville, MD.  They enjoy each other so much and love to play.  We had a great session capturing their beauty, athleticism, and overall “poodleness”.

Banks – It’s All About the Ball – Yellow Lab

Some dogs are just meant to be photographed outdoors and Banks is one of them.  He is an exuberant yellow lab who loves his family as much as he loves chasing a yellow tennis ball.

(With the Banks jumping series below, I finally had to come to terms with the fact that I see the world at about a 10 degree slant.)

Something else I realized on this shoot – labs have very strong jaws.  Take a look at the squish on this ball: banks_ball_squish

If you go back to the previous series, in the last image, the ball is 100% in his mouth.

Banks is one lucky dog.  He has 2 adult humans, 2 kids, and a dog brother to keep him company.  Top that off with a large fenced yard and a pond just outside the yard that he sometimes gets to play in.

When the ball gets waterlogged and sinks – no worries, Banks can get it:

With all of the fun activity outside, we went in to wind down – here is Banks looking at his human outside:

Remember what I said about Banks being a lucky dog?  Check out his dog bed!

My assistant actually took this photo!  Great job, Ann!

Sam – Black Lab

Meet Sam!  Sam was adopted through Lab Rescue of the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac in December 2008.  His owner has fostered dogs for years – and when she met Sam, she knew he would be staying. He is about 2 1/2 years old and he considers himself quite an athlete!  As you can tell by the photos, Sam LOVES to chase balls and run outdoors!  He also loves meeting new people, going for walks and going for rides in the car.

He always has fun playing w/other foster dogs from Lab Rescue.  Lab Rescue has lots of dogs waiting to find new homes!  For more information about Lab Rescue go to www.lab-rescue.org.
