Fall is here, and while it’s a little muted compared to last year, there is still beautiful color to see.  Here’s my dog Juno who was adopted from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington – they have some really gorgeous dogs (and other animals) there right now.

Pooh was adopted from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington and lives with Holly who you may have seen in this post.

(This last photo happened naturally.  Pooh and Holly get along swimmingly – they play together all the time.)

When we can, we (me and my incredible assistant, Ann) go to the Animal Welfare League of Arlington to photograph some of the animals that are up for adoption. This week, I decided to try out some video to help capture more than just a still image.  These are short little snippets of a few of the dogs (and they have fun music).

To see all of the animals up for adoption, go to www.awla.org.  Oh, and when you go to their website, under dogs, if you look at Buddy or Squirt there is a video they created that is hilarious!

Do you think seeing a video helps get more of a sense about the dogs or is a photo enough? If you were looking online for a dog to adopt, would you want to see video in addition to a picture?

We donate our photography services to create beautiful images of the animals for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington website.  These are just a few of the animals in 2009 that crossed our path on the way to their forever homes.   While we try to capture their outstanding qualities, nothing beats meeting them in person. 

If you are in the market for a best friend or wonderful companion for 2010, please adopt! There are wonderful pets in the shelters, waiting patiently to go home.
