Jake – “My Favorite Things”

Jake was recently adopted from Homeward Trails Animal Rescue.  He has such a sweet and gentle temperament.

Prior to our session, I asked his owner to think about some of his attributes that she really likes about him with the goal that I’d try to capture some of those things. Here is what she came up with:

1.  His eyes

2.  His soft ears

3.  His jet black muzzle

4.  His black markings – like the dot on his cheek and his black-tipped tail

5.  His Scruff and 6.  His Red Color  (this next image covers both)

and this last one was one of mine – his nose.

Oh, and there was one other one – he snores when he sleeps.

Bailey and Moe – Brittany Spaniels

bailey_moe

As told by their owner . . .

“Moe and Bailey (aka, “the boys”) came to their “forever home” via the American Brittany Rescue, whose outstanding and committed volunteers saved them from an uncertain future. Moe, who was given to a shelter by his original family for unknown reasons, is strong, confident and full of life—chasing birds, squirrels and most of all, his brother Bailey. Moe bonded with his new parents immediately. He especially loves his Dad and thinks he deserves dad’s undivided attention. Bailey was “on the streets” as a stray and eventually landed in a shelter where he was rescued in the nick of time (gulp!) by an American Brittany Rescue volunteer. He came to his new family a bit underweight, and a little scared, but his transformation has been amazing – he is now trusting and full of love. He is a gentle pup who tirelessly runs laps around his large backyard, will play fetch at any opportunity, and most of all, loves to cuddle. The boys are now inseparable! They recently welcomed a new human baby sister to the pack. They’re great brothers, always quick to greet her with a kiss or to share their toys (and bones) with her. American Brittany Rescue gave the boys a new lease on life—and our whole family couldn’t be more grateful.”
