A few images from our portrait event . . .

Here are a few images from our portrait event this past weekend.  We met some wonderful people and dogs, and got to work with some old friends again which is always great!

Boris, the Border Collie mix

Boris, was adopted from A Forever Home when he was just 10 weeks old.  He is a Border Collie mix, possibly with some hound as he likes to howl.  His personality is all Border Collie and is super energized, incredibly smart, and amazingly cute.  Apparently he got kicked out of puppy school because he kept trying to herd the other puppies.  He was “upgraded” to Novice level to be with older/larger dogs and has excelled!  He may have agility in his future at The Animal’s House

The first thing we came across in our session was a mud puddle and I loved his reflection. boris looking in puddle

Then it was off to play . . .boris running

He’s still learning to be off leash so we kept it on.boris playing with ball

Here you can see his big ears . . .

And the unique white patch on his back . . .cool white spot on boris' back

But nothing beats his adorable face.

Tasha, the wonder dog

Tasha, a 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd mix, was rescued from A Forever Home.  It took her about two weeks to accept her new family and now she is very attached to them, especially the kids.  She was trained by Bark Busters and has her Good Citizenship Certification.

Tasha was amazing to photograph.  When I met her, I knew I wanted to see her run.  So, we went out to a field and brought a ball . . .

This is Tasha’s dignified look – it lasts for about 1/125th of a second.Tasha looking very dignified

She is the queen of relaxation and totally comfortable in her skin.
