We had a lot of fun photographing Casey and Molly. Casey is 9 years old and loves to hang out in the grass. He appears to be very mild-mannered - but he has a mischievous side. I didn’t get to see that side though, all I saw was a handsome model. At 7 years old, Molly is a ball of personality who is always smiling. Catching her in action was a blast but she was also beautiful during the quiet moments.
These next two images are Casey:

And here’s Molly . . .
Seeing the two of them together is a testimonial for having two dogs – they really enjoy being around each other.

Molly showing off her skills – the series will be displayed as a storyboard boxmount.

The German Shepherd Dog in this portrait was owned by 1Lt Joshua L. Booth, U.S.M.C. (K.I.A. 10.17.06, Al Anbar, Iraq) who was killed in Iraq. Josh and his family were based at Kanehoe Bay Marine Corps Base in Hawaii. After Joshua’s passing, rather than leaving Roxy behind, the family brought her home to the mainland where she continues to be a beloved family member. K9 Roxy is now a Search and Rescue (SAR) canine and part of a K9 SAR team in Virginia. She serves as a living affirmation of Josh’s life, and like Josh, she lives and works to serve others.

I first met Bailey in 2003 at a portrait event – and I’ve had the pleasure of photographing him at several other portrait events – the last one in 2008. Aside from being a joy to photograph, he was adorable, loving and a true partner to his human. There are no words when this happens. I hope you can get a glimpse of his wonderful personality in these images.
This is Bailey in 2003.
And some of my favorite images from subsequent sessions.
