Buford – Treeing Walker Coonhound

Buford is a very handsome Treeing Walker Coonhound.  He caught a lot of scents while we walked in the woods. It was really interesting to see his instincts in action (he was always on leash – it was removed in these images).

He gave me a lot of wonderful opportunities to capture beautiful images.  This gorgeous boy is also a rescue.  He found an amazing home in Arlington, VA.

Make Mine Chocolate – Easter bunny

I created this image in conjunction with the Historical Chocolate Company (this is one of their chocolate molds and also their bunny that they rescued from a local rescue group) to promote the Make Mine Chocolate campaign, which encourages people to buy chocolate bunnies instead of real bunnies for Easter.  If you are sure you’re ready for the commitment of a bunny, don’t forget to check out local rescues as they almost always have beautiful bunnies ready to adopt. Happy Easter!

People Animals Love – Therapy Dogs at MedStar National Rehabilition Network

I had the honor of photographing therapy dogs from People Animals Love as they visited with young surgical patients at MedStar National Rehabilitation Network.  You’ve probably seen the current issue of NOVADog magazine, but if not, you can see it here:

Below are a few additional images.  It was so inspiring seeing how interacting with these dogs made the kids smile.
